Hello! I am a gluten free cook and baker living in the Champlain Valley of Vermont. There are not many great gluten free dining options here in rural Vermont, so I cook nearly everything myself. When I was growing up, I loved baking with my mom and connected with my family and friends through the act of cooking together. Baking especially has been a way for me to find connection and also has always been a big stress reliever to spend time in the kitchen, concocting beautiful and delicious things.
On this blog you will find lots of recipes for favorite old standbys and treats. I hunt high and low for good gluten free recipes and share the winners with you! I also emphasize local and seasonal ingredients and foods. If you are not from Vermont of the Northeast, you might end up learning a bit about gluten free versions of our regional favorites.
If you are a local restaurant owner or chef, please contact me if you have any questions about how to safely serve your guests. I often write about how frustrating it is to get glutened when eating out and also about how happy it can make me to eat out safely, without fear of cross contamination.
If you have any questions or comments, please send me a note!
