I will only be eating at home.
I spent the second half of July eating out too much and then getting sick from cross contamination. As a result, I have decided to take a break from eating any foods that have not been prepared in a dedicated gluten free kitchen/facility. That means no restaurants, food trucks, creemee stands, fair foods, or even foods made by friends. I’m going to do this for the month of August and will be keeping a journal for the month on here. Will it be a month of torture? Or maybe I’ll be surprised by how easy it is. [One exception–I have signed up for a berry vinegar making workshop at American Flatbread in Waitsfield on Tuesday. There is going to be a lunch of flatbread and salad. When I registered, I asked if I could just have extra salad. What do you think? Should I avoid even that?]
