An online “gluten summit” will start tomorrow. I’m signed up, but I will be pretty busy preparing to go to a museum conference, so I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to listen in to the lectures. It is wonderful to hear about research and have the opportunity to learn more about it. I heard a statistic that it has only been within the past five years or so that doctors have really been aware of Celiac Disease and gluten allergies. More often than not, doctors do not think about gluten being a culprit for migraines, rashes, depression, digestive disorders, and more. I am hopeful that events like this “Summit” will provide some needed education for people who have diagnosed themselves but also healthcare professionals who really ought to be better informed.
